# Method 1 : Factory/Hard Reset

This method is very risky method because Factory or Hard reset will wipe all the data of your phone and it will bring your phone in totally new phase. All the data including Apps , Videos etc will be deleted and all the cusotmization will be change and phone will come in stock state. Step 1 :

Take your phone where you forgot pattern or password, Turn your phone off which you want to reset password or pattern. We will boot into recovery after that.

Step 2 :

Now, press and following any of button combination to boot in recovery mode. This will be diffrent as device spec. You can try one by one.

1. Volume up + Power button
2. Volume up + Power button + Home button
3. Volume down + Power button
4. Volume up + Volume down + Power button

Note : Boot to recovery method will diffrent as device model so try any of above method to boot into recovery mode.

Step 3 :

Leave button after you see a logo, and you will be inside recovery mode. Goto up use Vol + , goto down use Vol - and Press Enter use POWER Key.

Step 4 :

Next, select the option to wipe data " wipe data / factory reset ". and scroll down using Vol - and choose Yes and your are about to go.

Step 5 :

Press yes and wait until it finish. When it finishes Goto up and click on Reboot System Now. Congratulations !! You have reseted your phone sucessfully.

Now your phone will boot in stock state and configure the settings. This is the way how you can reset your password in Android device. This method works almost in all Android devices.

# Method 2 : Google Account Method

This method for vivo phones only and other Android devices including Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony etc . To reset Android screen lock password or recover your password in vivo/ android phone you need active internet connection and your gmail account that you sync in your mobile.

Enter random wrong password until it shows number of times attempt, and now wait upto 40 to 50 seconds and then tab on forgot password or pattern ? option.

After that sing in using your primary Google Account in your phone that you logged in before means Enter your G-mail ID and Password that you scyned in this device.

Step 3 :

Then your can access it and draw a new PATTERN or enter your secret PIN or type any Password that you want.

Step 4 :

At last, draw the same Pattern or enter Pin or Password then continue.
